Now that winter is here and frosts are upon us time for some work on the site..
I have decided that a new look front page is needed so off in search I go for an "open source" front page, open source meaning its free as long as I leave the footer in place with the designers bit on show.
Once you have your free design its up to you with some knowledge of HTML to change it to suit your needs, you will also need a editor. I use NoteTab light, good enough for me, add some pictures and your own text and off you go.
Sounds easy but its not, a steep learning curve and lots of work later is the new front page, or index.html which must link also to many many pages of pictures and back again, I have been doing this for about eight or nine years now and I'm still learning, and I get people telling me off because Iv'e spelt this wrong or done that wrong etc..No Peece is there.
Its not often I get a chance to shout and leap about BUT isle of wight pics has just reached an amazing point in our history..Half a Million page views as of 29th April 2012. Holy smoke, Wow, thats a lot of visitors...THANK YOU ALL.

I get asked many times if "we could use a picture for a website".. and usually for free. The answer is yes and no, you may use a pic but its not for free.
Please don't expect me to give away pic's when this site costs money to run. I have decided that a single pic will cost £10 for website use, that is any size you like, it can be sized how you want it
wether a top banner or a thumbnail..If you want more it gets cheaper.
My pic's are just as nature presents them, they are not heavily tweaked in photoshop. I do not supply prints, can't be bothered too much hassle with printing/posting etc.
